Rebecca's Story
Rebecca's story as a massage therapist begins
back when she was a child. Growing up in a very nurturing family, therapeutic touch has always been part of her life.
It was only while attending Oneonta State University to become an elementary school teacher that she realized it
could be her life's work. She was dissatisfied with her schooling and often found herself giving head and neck
massages to her fellow students to relieve their tension and headaches. She became known for this around campus to the extent
that she was missing classes in order to keep her classmates pain-free. That's when a thought occured to her that
would change her life. She realized that she could make a career out of what she loved doing ~ Massage Therapy!
Immediatedy impassioned with the thought, she discovered that one of the best colleges in the country for this profession
was located just a few miles from her parent's home in Long Island, New York. With support from her family she
left Oneonta for Christmas break and never returned. In December of 1997 at the age of 18 she enrolled in
the College for Health Professions. She has come a long way since then! Rebecca has been exceptionally fortunate
